Chillers provide a continuous feed of chilled water to the AC units in the data centre and as such should be considered mission critical equipment. Although they are the least visible element of a server room or data centre they have the largest carbon foot print of any single component and making the correct choice of chiller is decisive in the ability to remove heat from the data centre as well as its cost.
